    [post_content] => The fifth annual Root Cause Awards, celebrating achievement in the local forest products industry and sustainable forestry, were announced and The Bark House won the 2017 Support of Local Wood Products Award in recognition of its efforts in promoting local forest products and supporting jobs in the forest products industry. 

The Root Cause initiative is committed to raising awareness in the southern Appalachians for the practice of sustainable forestry.
