The French luxury footwear and fashion designer, Christian Louboutin is famous for his signature red-lacquered soles worn by celebrities on the red carpet. For Louboutin, his high profile shoes are considered a statement and a state of mind; the red sole a symbol of passion. Worn by royalty and celebrities like Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, as well as the high powered, upwardly mobile set, Louboutins are as prized as jewels and coveted by women the world over.
Eric Clough and the 212box team design outside the box. In running their New York City-based multidisciplinary design firm, Eric Clough and Eun Sun Chun approach architecture, interior design, graphic design, film, advertising and product design with a singular mix of detail-oriented commitment and a rigorously developed sense of play. Although Eric has his Master of Architecture from Yale University, he states that his “European upbringing and constant travel have enriched his sense of texture, craftsmanship, pattern making and detailing and his interest in everything from product design to film to futurism [and] has helped form 212box’s identity as a boundary-breaking design leader” (from the 212box website).
