Please join the Bark House team as we wish Ryan Crawley, Head of Sales, the very best as he begins a new journey.
Ryan has been with Bark House for an incredible 13 years and Head of Sales for 10 of those. His aim has been to support our client’s goals and celebrate their successes. We appreciate the incredible feedback customers have shared with us about his dedication and the personalized attention they receive. He has been much beloved.
Ryan is known for making friends easily and for his many trips (often on-foot) across this country. He plans to take two years combining the two on a trip of a lifetime. Only this time, his sidekicks will often include his daughter and wife.
Marty and I have had the privilege to know Ryan since his teenage years. We know him as an incredibly hard worker, a dedicated family man, a friend and as an avid hiker. Ryan’s first independent overnight on a trail could have meant an end to camping. It rained, the camp stove we loaned him did not light and a friend’s cellphone meant one call led to an instant ride home. This experience saw Ryan dig in. He learned that it was his own two feet that would carry him forward. A few years later – we got a call as he crossed the mountains of North Carolina on his solo journey between Georgia and Maine on the Appalachian Trail. He completed that trail in 1998 and many after. A truth about hikers is that we know the destination is always beyond the horizon and every step taken gets us closer to the next journey. We have been fortunate that Ryan joined our professional team and shared our path for so many years. His last day is November 8, 2020.
We asked Ryan to share his favorite quote. He simply said, “The mountains are calling and I must go.” (John Muir)
